KFSHRC Celebrates Historic Graduation Of 334 Physicians From Fellowship And Residency Programs
The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) marked a significant milestone by graduating 334 physicians from the Saudi Board in various medical and health fields for 2024. This is the largest class in the hospital's history, showcasing KFSHRC's dedication to nurturing national medical talent and enhancing healthcare sector readiness.
The graduation ceremony took place at Princess Haya bint Turki Conference Hall at Alfaisal University in Riyadh. It was attended by Dr. Majid Alfayyadh, CEO of KFSHRC, Prof. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and several hospital leaders.

A significant portion of the graduates were from fellowship programs, with 191 physicians completing their training. Additionally, 120 residents finished various residency programs, while 23 individuals completed specialized health diploma programs. This diverse group reflects the comprehensive training opportunities available at KFSHRC.
Dr. Alfayyadh expressed immense pride in the graduates during his speech. He noted that their achievements represent years of hard work and dedication. He encouraged them to serve their communities with sincerity and professionalism as they begin their careers in healthcare.
Dr. Alfayyadh also highlighted the substantial support from the Kingdom's leadership for the healthcare sector. This backing has facilitated the expansion of specialized training programs and initiatives aimed at qualifying national healthcare professionals to meet international standards.
The collaboration with Alfaisal University was acknowledged by Dr. Alfayyadh for its effective partnership. He also thanked the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for its crucial role in developing training programs and enhancing healthcare practitioners' capabilities.

The Academic and Training Affairs Department has delivered over 200 specialized programs, many internationally accredited and unique to the region.
This achievement contributes significantly to the healthcare sector and supports the Health Sector Transformation Program under Vision 2030. This initiative aims to develop a model healthcare system focused on prevention while empowering national talent.
