KFSHRC Expands Partnerships To Accelerate Health Innovation At Global Health Exhibition 2025
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Riyadh Airports. This collaboration aims to enhance health and public-awareness services at King Khalid International Airport. The initiative seeks to improve the experiences of both patients and travellers, aligning efforts in health and aviation, while supporting national public-health initiatives.
The signing ceremony took place at KFSHRC’s pavilion during the Global Health Exhibition 2025. The event was held at the Riyadh Exhibitions and Convention Center in Malham, with Ayman AboAbah representing Riyadh Airports Company as CEO.

KFSHRC is also working with Lifera, a Public Investment Fund company, to advance cell and gene therapies within Saudi Arabia. This partnership focuses on developing infrastructure and specialized skills, which are crucial for building national capabilities in this field.
In another strategic move, KFSHRC has signed an agreement with SCG to accelerate the development of advanced cell and gene therapies. This collaboration aims to boost clinical applications of these therapies across Saudi Arabia.
KFSHRC has partnered with AstraZeneca to expand access to innovative therapies and diagnostics. Their joint efforts will focus on strengthening research leadership and promoting value-based care models that enhance patient outcomes.
Additionally, KFSHRC has teamed up with Prince Sultan University to develop applied AI solutions in healthcare. This partnership aims to transform research into practical tools that improve diagnostic efficiency and decision-making processes.
Local Manufacturing Initiatives
An agreement with Eli Lilly will see the localization of manufacturing advanced medical materials used for diagnosing brain diseases like Alzheimer’s. This initiative will improve test accuracy and allow patients to receive specialized care locally.
KFSHRC is also collaborating with King Saud University and the Saudi Health Council to advance public health initiatives. Their focus is on disease prevention, injury reduction, scientific exchange, and establishing a national sudden-death registry.
Smart Transport Solutions
To enhance healthcare mobility, KFSHRC has partnered with Uber. This agreement aims to develop smart transport solutions for patients and clinical staff, ensuring easy access to specialized care both inside and outside the hospital premises.
KFSHRC's achievements have been recognized globally. It ranks first in the Middle East and North Africa among academic medical centers for 2025. Brand Finance also acknowledges it as the region’s most valuable healthcare brand.
The hospital is listed among Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2025, Best Smart Hospitals 2026, and Best Specialized Hospitals 2026. These accolades highlight its leadership in providing innovation-driven care.
