KAUST Hosts Future Of Semiconductors Forum 2025 To Discuss Industry Innovations

The "Future of Semiconductors Forum" was held from May 4–5, 2025, at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). This event was organised in collaboration with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and NEOM's Education, Research and Innovation Foundation. It received strategic backing from the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA), the National Semiconductor Hub, and the IEEE Western Saudi Arabia Section.

KACST President Dr. Munir Eldesouki highlighted KACST's commitment to innovation-driven transformation. The organisation is focused on training, research, and development initiatives to create a national semiconductor ecosystem. This ecosystem aims to meet Saudi Arabia's needs while boosting its global competitiveness in this crucial sector.

Future of Semiconductors Forum at KAUST

The forum showcased advancements in semiconductor technologies and investment opportunities. Participants explored cutting-edge research in chip design, processor technologies, and smart applications. These discussions spanned various innovation domains related to semiconductors.

KAUST President Prof. Sir Edward Byrne emphasised the university's dedication to scientific and technological progress. He stated, "The forum reflects the university's commitment to its leadership role in driving scientific and technological innovation and strengthening strategic partnerships between research institutions and industry to foster a knowledge-based economy."

The event provided a platform for attendees to interact with high-level officials. Participants had the chance to explore forward-looking sectors within the semiconductor industry.
