Kalimat Group Joins Forces With Reggio Children To Boost Education
Kalimat Group and Reggio Children—Italy have formalised their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement follows six years of successful cooperation, aiming to enhance educational initiatives for children in both regions.
The "Horouf Reggio Conference" held in Sharjah in 2018 exemplifies their productive partnership. Organised by Horouf, a Kalimat Group subsidiary, and Reggio Children, the event gathered teachers and education experts to discuss the "Reggio Emilia Approach" to education. This method focuses on children's mental growth through language and self-expression.

The MoU specifies Kalimat Group's role in organising seminars, exhibitions, and workshops with the educational centre in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Additionally, it includes translating, publishing, or distributing at least five Reggio Children publications with support from the Italian institution.
Reggio Children promotes the knowledge developed over 65 years by infant-toddler centres and preschools in Reggio Emilia, a city in northern Italy. This experience is known as the "Reggio Emilia Approach".
By publishing quality material and creating effective learning experiences, Kalimat Group and Reggio Children aim to empower children and educators to reach their full potential. The collaboration aligns with Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi's vision. She is the Founder and CEO of Kalimat Group and has been key in fostering joint projects, research initiatives, and educational programmes.
This agreement marks another milestone between entities from Sharjah and Italy's long-standing partnership. It sets the stage for mutual growth and betterment of children beyond their respective regions.
