KAICIID And Arigatou International Sign MoU To Enhance Interfaith Dialogue At GNRC Forum In Abu Dhabi

Dr. Zuhair Alharthi, Secretary General of the King Abdullah International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), and Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the UAE, recently discussed enhancing global efforts to safeguard children's rights. Their meeting took place during the 6th Global Interfaith Network for Children (GNRC) Forum in Abu Dhabi.

The forum highlighted the essential role of UN organizations in fostering peace and sustainable development, especially in communities facing conflict. Both officials underscored the importance of tackling hate speech and violence among youth. Dr. Alharthi remarked that hosting the forum in Abu Dhabi reflects the UAE's commitment to global peace and stability, showing its strong backing for UN initiatives.

KAICIID Signs MoU with Arigatou International

During the event, KAICIID and Arigatou International Foundation signed a renewed memorandum of understanding. This agreement aims to bolster their partnership in addressing global challenges and promoting peaceful coexistence among diverse faiths and cultures. The signing ceremony saw Dr. Alharthi and Keishi Miyamoto, President of Arigatou International, reaffirming their dedication to these goals.

Both leaders stressed the necessity of ongoing collaboration to achieve significant outcomes in combating religious violence and protecting children's rights. They highlighted their long-standing cooperation in promoting interfaith dialogue as a key factor in achieving these objectives.

A joint statement from KAICIID and Arigatou International emphasized their successful Ethics Education Fellowship Program. This initiative aims to enhance ethical education across various countries, contributing to social cohesion and peacebuilding efforts worldwide.
