KAFD Receives Three WiredScore Excellence Certifications For Cybersecurity And Data Management

The King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh has been honoured with three Certificates of Excellence from WiredScore. These awards acknowledge KAFD's prowess in Cybersecurity, Data Management, and System Integration. This recognition highlights KAFD's leadership in smart urban innovation and technology-driven infrastructure.

Spanning 1.6 square kilometers, KAFD is the world's largest LEED platinum-certified district and Saudi Arabia's first vertical city. Its infrastructure incorporates advanced urban technologies like smart parking systems, HVAC controls, and energy-efficient solar solutions. These innovations aim to strengthen Riyadh’s status as a global business hub.

The cybersecurity certificate reflects KAFD's dedication to implementing stringent protocols to protect digital assets, businesses, and residents. The data management certificate acknowledges the use of streamlined practices that ensure accurate, standardized, and accessible data for improved operational efficiency.

The system integration certificate celebrates KAFD’s ability to create a unified technology network. This network facilitates automation, connectivity, and control across the smart district’s 95-building development. Such integration is crucial for enhancing the district's overall functionality.

KAFD was designated as the first neighbourhood in the Middle East and Africa to receive the SmartScore Neighborhood Certification in July 2024. This certification recognises its comprehensive digital infrastructure and commitment to innovation in urban living.
