K2 Showcases Vision For Future City Powered By Autonomous Technologies At Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week

K2 is making its debut at DRIFTx, Abu Dhabi's premier exhibition for smart and autonomous mobility. This event, scheduled from 10 to 12 November 2025 at Yas Marina Circuit, is part of the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week (ADAW), organised by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC). The exhibition aims to present a vision of Abu Dhabi's future, showcasing innovations that are set to transform urban life.

K2 will introduce an integrated ecosystem of autonomous systems spanning various sectors such as mobility, logistics, sanitation, hospitality, and public safety. These innovations highlight how intelligent technologies are reshaping urban environments. Sean Teo, Managing Director of K2, emphasised the shift from demonstrations to real-world applications. He stated, "The time for demonstrations and trials when it comes to autonomous technologies is almost behind us and its time now for applications, functions and capabilities and DRIFTx is the perfect opportunity to showcase that."

The exhibition will feature humanoid robots performing daily tasks alongside a fully autonomous farm requiring minimal human intervention. This reflects K2’s vision of future cities where humans and machines work together harmoniously. The technologies showcased are developed in the UAE under the guidance of Smart Autonomous System Councils and Integrated Transport Centre.

K2's participation underscores its commitment to innovation in robotics and autonomous systems. Their exhibits include a robotic cleaning crew, an autonomous café shop, robotaxis, and a firefighting command vehicle. These solutions aim to become commonplace in cities worldwide, enhancing efficiency and sustainability while redefining human interaction with technology.

Waleed Alblooshi, Vice President of Strategy at K2, highlighted Abu Dhabi's role in embracing future technologies. He remarked, "Abu Dhabi is where the future happens, and automation of technologies is undeniably a part of it." At DRIFTx, K2 presents technologies ready to make a significant impact on urban life.
