Jordan Strongly Condemns Israeli Remarks Against Saudi Arabia And Palestinian Statehood

The Jordanian government has expressed strong disapproval of recent Israeli remarks opposing the creation of an independent Palestinian state within its own borders, suggesting instead that it be established on Saudi land. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates labelled these comments as inflammatory, highlighting their violation of international law, United Nations resolutions, and state sovereignty.

In a statement shared by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Ambassador Sufian Qudah from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry criticised Israel's ongoing provocative policies and rhetoric. He emphasised that these statements reflect an exclusionary and hostile stance that jeopardises regional stability. He reiterated Jordan's firm rejection of such remarks and urged the global community to denounce them.

"Jordan stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia against these statements," Ambassador Qudah stated, urging international actors to take a firm position against irresponsible rhetoric threatening peace efforts. He stressed that Israel's attempts to divert attention cannot obscure the core issue of the ongoing occupation and the violation of Palestinian rights.

The spokesperson reaffirmed that Palestinians remain committed to establishing an independent, sovereign state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is seen as a crucial step towards achieving lasting security, peace, and stability in the region.

Ambassador Qudah also called for an immediate halt to Israeli escalations in the occupied West Bank. He pointed out continued incursions, settlement expansion, and land confiscation as actions that further complicate peace efforts. These activities are viewed as significant obstacles to resolving the conflict.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry urged international condemnation of Israel’s exclusionary approach. They highlighted how such rhetoric undermines regional stability and peace initiatives. The ministry called for a united global response to address these challenges effectively.

Jordan remains steadfast in its support for Palestinian rights and aspirations. The government continues to advocate for a peaceful resolution based on internationally recognised principles and agreements.
