JIAT Finds No Evidence Of Coalition Forces Targeting Civilian House In Al-Jirahi
In a recent statement, the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) addressed allegations concerning an airstrike on a civilian residence in the Al-Jirahi directorate of Al-Hudaydah governorate, which reportedly occurred on 01/12/2021. The incident allegedly resulted in injuries to one man and two children. The JIAT's comprehensive review encompassed a variety of sources, including air tasking orders, mission schedules, execution procedures, after-action reports, satellite imagery, as well as the Coalition Forces' rules of engagement and the principles of International Humanitarian Law.
Upon meticulous examination, the JIAT determined that the Al-Jirahi directorate, situated in the southern part of Al-Hudaydah governorate, did not witness any air missions by Coalition Forces on the date in question. This conclusion was supported by an absence of air missions both one day prior and one day following the alleged strike. Specifically, no air missions were conducted over Al-Hudaydah governorate on 30/11/2021 or 02/12/2021.

The findings led the JIAT to conclude that Coalition Forces were not involved in targeting a civilian house in the Al-Jirahi directorate of Al-Hudaydah governorate on 01/12/2021. This statement was issued to clarify the circumstances surrounding the allegations and to affirm the Coalition Forces' commitment to adhering to International Humanitarian Law principles.
