Jeddah To Host Historic SAL Jeddah GT Race 2024 At World’s Fastest Circuit

The SAL Jeddah GT Race 2024 is set to take place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on November 29-30. This marks the first time the event will be held in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and Saudi Motorsports Company are co-organising the event, with oversight from the Ministry of Sports.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit, known as the world's fastest circuit, will host two major motorsport races covering a total of 1,000 kilometres. This makes it the longest circuit race in Saudi history. The event is part of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS and includes a six-hour race featuring 49 cars.

The GT4 European Series, supported by RAFA Racing Club, will also be featured. It includes four competitive categories with a 250-kilometre race involving 35 cars. Notable manufacturers participating include Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes AMG, BMW M Sport, Audi Sport, and Ford.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed pride in hosting this global sports event. He credited the Kingdom's leadership for its support in advancing the sports sector and aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.

Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Chairman of SAMF and Saudi Motorsport Company, highlighted that this iconic motorsport event enhances Saudi Arabia's portfolio of international championships. It attracts major stars and garners significant media attention both locally and globally.

The SAL Jeddah GT Race 2024 embodies competition and ambition within Saudi Arabia's sports sector. Jeddah is well-prepared with its world-class circuit to host this championship. This effort contributes to fostering a distinguished generation of athletes while boosting the national economy.
