Jeddah E-Prix Energises Formula E Journey, Says Chief
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit will stage back-to-back Formula E World Championship races on 13–14 February, reinforcing Jeddah’s position on the global calendar. Following last season’s successful event, organisers expect strong attendance, with the Jeddah E-Prix now seen as a key stop for international electric motorsport.
Formula E chief executive Jeff Dodds said Saudi Arabia has become central to the series’ progress, from the first race in Diriyah in 2018 to this year’s Jeddah double-header. Dodds noted that the Kingdom now has one of the championship’s most engaged fan communities worldwide.

Dodds explained that the Jeddah Corniche Circuit blends the safety and facilities of a permanent venue with the tight, demanding layout of a street track. Night racing beside the Red Sea is expected to create a distinctive atmosphere, supported by extensive entertainment that will continue after the chequered flag.
According to Dodds, the Formula E fan base has reached around 5 million ahead of the Jeddah E-Prix, underlining the rapid rise of electric racing interest. Dodds added that the long-standing partnership with Saudi Arabia aligns with Vision 2030, especially in sustainability, future mobility and social impact, with programmes focused on youth empowerment and diversity.
Organisers confirmed that the Fan Village will include race simulators, partner showcases, driver autograph sessions, drone shows and evening fireworks, all set against the Red Sea backdrop. Dodds said the championship’s long-term plans in the Kingdom are based on an extended strategic partnership, and noted that the expected fourth-generation (GEN4) car will deliver a major leap in performance and technology for future seasons.
