Jawaher Al Qasimi Celebrates Alumni At RQ Odyssey Ceremony In Sharjah

H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, recently attended a ceremony celebrating over 1,000 alumni from various Sharjah-based youth and development organisations. The event also honoured 40 pioneers from the founding generation of Rubʿ Qarn entities. This gathering was part of the RQ Odyssey initiative by the Rubʿ Qarn Foundation, held at the Sharjah Children and Sajaya Young Ladies centres in Al Qarain.

The RQ Odyssey initiative highlights more than four decades of commitment to human development, inspired by H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's vision. In her speech, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher praised the pioneers who established Rubʿ Qarn, stating, "You are the ones who planted the first seed of a path that grew into a national project cultivating leaders, creativity and innovation. The impact you created lives on in every graduate, and we are proud of the journey you led with dedication and belief."

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qassimi, Director-General of the Rubʿ Qarn Foundation, shared insights through a recorded message. She reflected on how their journey began in 1985 with Sharjah’s first children’s library and expanded into over 30 centres fostering talent and leadership. She emphasised that celebrating graduates honours both founders' visions and teams' dedication across generations.

Addressing alumni directly, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher expressed pride in their achievements: "You learned that knowledge, patience and love for your country shape your path in life. You proved your ability to carry a message of goodness and build a future worthy of yourselves and your nation. You are my sons and daughters, and I am proud of you. Continue discovering yourselves and serving your community."

Khawla Al Haway, Director of Sharjah Children, spoke on behalf of graduates about how experiences at Rubʿ Qarn shaped their values and skills. She noted that Sharjah's leadership vision continues guiding them professionally. The ceremony included exhibitions showcasing creative displays highlighting graduates' achievements.

The event was attended by notable figures such as Sheikha Aisha bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qassimi, Sheikha Nawar bint Ahmed Al Qasimi, along with senior officials from various Sharjah government entities.
