Jawaher Al Qasimi Appoints Khawla Jassim Al Serkal And Wafaa Taymour As Leaders Of Sharjah Hospitality Group

H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, has made two key appointments. Khawla Jassim Al Serkal is now Vice Chairperson, and Wafaa Taymour is Chief Executive Officer of the Sharjah Hospitality Group.

The Sharjah Hospitality Group was established by a decree from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. It operates under the Sharjah Family and Community Council. The Group includes prominent institutions like the Sharjah Ladies Club and Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, aiming to enhance community services in the emirate.

New Leaders Appointed at Sharjah Hospitality Group

Khawla Jassim Al Serkal emphasised that forming the Group represents a vision for community investment and sustainable service development. She stated that community needs are central to their plans, with project returns aimed at improving life quality and expanding community engagement opportunities, aligning with 2025 being declared as the "Year of the Community."

Wafaa Taymour highlighted that the Group will develop public policies and strategic plans to advance Sharjah's hospitality sector. The focus will be on delivering high-quality services that reflect cultural and social values while developing initiatives to meet local community needs.

Khawla Al Serkal brings over two decades of experience managing the Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches. Her leadership has been pivotal in evolving services to cater to women's diverse needs. Meanwhile, Wafaa Taymour has 18 years of expertise in hospitality and events management, supporting strategic development within the Group.

The Group manages facilities like the Sharjah Ladies Club and Al Jawaher Reception Centre. It also oversees specialised programmes, contracts with government and private entities, and develops skilled human capital in this sector.

Strategic Vision for Hospitality

This initiative aligns with efforts to boost institutional integration across Sharjah. It aims for a significant shift in community hospitality services, reflecting Sharjah’s developmental goals as a hub for premium hospitality and integrated community offerings.
