Jana Wargers Triumphs In Final Riyadh Round Of Longines Global Champions Tour
On Saturday, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, awarded the winners of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League in Riyadh. German rider Jana Wargers triumphed in the final round with a jump-off time of 41.71 seconds.
In the overall standings of the Longines Global Champions Tour, Belgian rider Gilles Thomas emerged victorious with 287 points. Dutch competitor Harrie Smolders secured second place with 246 points, while Danish rider Andreas Schou finished third with 221 points.

Irish rider Denis Lynch, ranked 34th globally, claimed second place in the final Riyadh round with a time of 43.66 seconds. Belgian rider Gilles Thomas completed his round in 43.99 seconds to secure third place.
Saudi rider Abdullah Al-Sharbatly excelled in the five-star 1.45-meter intermediate category, winning with a time of 53.08 seconds. He narrowly beat German rider Pieter Devos by 0.48 seconds. Swedish veteran Henrik von Eckermann took third place with a time of 53.81 seconds.
The two-star category competitions kicked off the final day, where French rider Basile Rubio won the 1.30-meter intermediate final in 38.75 seconds. Saudi competitor Abdullah Ibrahim followed closely behind at 38.91 seconds, while Qatari rider Ghanim Al-Qadi finished third with a time of 42.45 seconds.
Grand Prix Success
In another notable performance, Saudi rider Waleed Al-Ghamdi clinched the Grand Prix title at a height of 1.40 meters, completing his round in 60.04 seconds. Ghanim Al-Qadi secured second place with a time of 63.79 seconds, and Abdullah Al-Sharbatly took third at 64.37 seconds.
The event showcased remarkable talent and competitive spirit among riders from various countries, highlighting their skills and determination throughout the competition.
