Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, recently attended an iftar banquet at Al Samra Tent in Aljada. This event was organised for members and staff of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF). The gathering aimed to strengthen social bonds during Ramadan, creating a warm and spiritual atmosphere.
During the event, Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi expressed her joy in meeting the orphaned children. She emphasised their integral role in society and highlighted the duty to support them. "Empowering them is not an option. Rather, it is a duty that guarantees them a dignified life and a bright future," she stated. She stressed the importance of providing not just financial aid but also security and belonging.

The iftar meal fostered direct communication among attendees, enhancing feelings of brotherhood and support. This environment helped create a sense of belonging for everyone present. The event underscored the foundation's commitment to bringing joy to its members during Ramadan.
Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi further noted that a cohesive society advances all its children without exception. "Community solidarity is a fundamental pillar in building the future of these children," she confirmed. Participation in such events reflects the importance of rallying around these children, listening to them, and ensuring they have psychological and social security.
Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of SSEF, shared her thoughts on the occasion. She said: "We were pleased to meet Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi with our fatherless children. She is keen to meet them every Ramadan season and share iftar with them." These gatherings reinforce the concept of a single family that supports their journey through life.
The SSEF's efforts aim to enhance orphans' sense of care and love while promoting social stability. By participating in such events, individuals and institutions can provide necessary support beyond financial assistance.
The iftar banquet served as a reminder of the community's role in nurturing its younger members. It highlighted how collective efforts can ensure these children become active contributors to society's future.
