Jaheziya Launches National Forum To Develop Leaders In The Medical Sector

The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, hosted the National Forum for Preparing Leaders in the Medical Sector (I‘dad), under the theme "Together for a Ready Nation." This initiative, part of the UAE National Programme for Medical Readiness and Response (Jaheziya), was organised by Al Wataniya Training "Tadreeb" and overseen by the UAE Volunteer and Reserve Medical Team. It aims to enhance national skills in medical specialties and establish a base of trainers accredited both locally and internationally.

Dr. Adel Al Shamry Al Ajmi, CEO of Zayed Giving Initiative and President of Doctors of the Emirates, highlighted that this forum demonstrates Jaheziya’s dedication to developing national cadres with strategic vision. The focus is on equipping them with advanced academic, clinical, and research skills that meet international standards. This effort supports national healthcare objectives and prepares specialized medical professionals.

Jaheziya Launches Medical Leadership Forum

The forum integrates academic learning with practical training to help participants acquire leadership skills essential for tackling modern medical challenges. The program uses a unified curriculum recognized by local healthcare institutions and leading international universities. Its aim is to prepare national leaders capable of addressing health sector challenges through cutting-edge scientific methods and best practices in leadership, clinical work, and academics.

Professor Oliver Jacden, Director of the National Programme for Medical Education, Training, and Research, mentioned that the forum is held periodically across the Emirates. It targets hospital leaders and heads of emergency medicine, intensive care, anesthesia, surgery, and readiness departments. The objective is to groom future leaders who can manage specialized training programs and lead medical departments in various hospitals.

The opening session underscored national initiatives in medical readiness and response. It highlighted the role of national medical personnel in steering the healthcare system and adopting innovative programs for preparedness and emergency response. These efforts have successfully enhanced the capabilities of thousands of frontline healthcare workers in recent years.

This initiative reflects wise leadership's support for Emirati doctors in fostering innovation and excellence within the medical sector. It contributes to sustainable health development while enabling doctors to serve society under the slogan "Together for a Ready Nation." Investment in human resources has been crucial in this journey.

Global Collaborations

Collaboration with global medical institutions like the American College of Surgeons and others has been instrumental. These partnerships have helped build a generation of leaders ready to advance the nation’s health development journey. The programme also focuses on enhancing medical readiness standards aligning with UAE’s vision for optimal human capital investment.

The programme aims to improve emergency response standards according to global benchmarks. By preparing Emirati trainers to lead training centers and hospitals, it aligns with UAE's vision for investing in human capital. This ensures that medical leaders are qualified according to top global standards.

This innovative initiative underscores its commitment to promoting excellence among Emirati doctors while contributing significantly to sustainable health development within the nation.
