Ithra Launches Winter Season With Over 130 Cultural Events Celebrating Arts And Heritage
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra, has announced the "Ithra Winter" event. This initiative is part of the Khobar Season and will feature over 130 programs. These activities will focus on arts, cultural heritage, films, architecture, and design. The events are scheduled to take place across various Ithra facilities.
The opening ceremony promises a spectacular visual and musical display in Dhahran's skies from October 29 to November 1. This performance will be held in Ithra’s gardens to mark the season's commencement. Visitors can expect an engaging winter experience with large-scale creative programs and interactive activities aimed at inspiring future generations.

One of the season's highlights is a concert by the Chinese Orchestra, renowned for its harmonious blend of sound and silence. The program also includes performances by Tarabband and the Children’s Orchestra. Various live musical shows are set to enhance the cultural experience for attendees.
Musaab AlSaraan, Acting Director of Ithra, stated: "The launch of Ithra Winter stems from our mission to foster positive and sustainable community impact while engaging a broad audience through exceptional and distinctive experiences." He emphasized that these efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
The Winter Market will add a unique atmosphere with a food festival, artists’ market, and designers’ market. These events celebrate taste, culture, art, and creativity through storytelling and handmade products. Visitors can immerse themselves in artistic craftsmanship and exhibitions.
Ithra Cultural Days: Spain offers an immersive journey through time and culture. This program blends tradition with modernity through theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and visual showcases. Prominent Spanish figures will share their stories, providing insights into Spain’s rich cultural legacy.
Celebrating Global Cultures
The "El Mirkato Español" market draws inspiration from Spanish streets and kitchens. Running alongside this is Ithra’s "Culinary Experience," which turns gastronomy into a cultural exploration. These programs offer diverse performing arts and visual experiences for visitors.
AlSaraan noted that "Ithra is committed to delivering high-quality programs that align with the Quality-of-Life Program." He added that they aim to create engaging experiences making Ithra a premier destination during winter.
Ithra participated in a press conference at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Science and Technology (Scitech) on Sunday. During this event, the official launch of Khobar Season 2025 was announced.
