Ithra Celebrates The 95th Saudi National Day With Over 40 Cultural Events For All Ages
In honour of Saudi Arabia's 95th National Day on September 23, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is hosting over 40 cultural and heritage events. These activities, scheduled from September 22 to 27, aim to celebrate the nation's rich traditions and identity. The programme highlights Saudi Arabia's unity and cultural diversity through art, heritage, and music.
The "Saudi Emblem Archive" exhibition invites visitors to explore a visual documentation of one of the Kingdom’s most iconic national symbols. This exhibition is part of Ithra's efforts to encourage people to connect with their heritage. Another highlight is the "From Bean to Cup" exhibition, which offers a sensory journey into the world of Saudi coffee, showcasing its regional diversity in flavours and roasting methods.

Visitors can engage in an interactive celebration called "Sing-Along," where they become both singers and performers by joining in with timeless national songs. This unique experience allows participants to blend their voices with beloved melodies, creating a sense of community and shared joy.
The "Dialogues of Tunes" performance takes place at the heart of Ithra’s plaza. It combines the rich sounds of the oud with semsemiah rhythms, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in the music. This musical event encourages audience participation, making them an integral part of the scene.
Ithra’s gardens offer a family-friendly atmosphere with light shows and music culminating in a spectacular fireworks display. These events provide spacious areas for families to enjoy together. The Children’s Museum offers a journey through history while opening windows to future possibilities.
Workshops are available for those interested in arts and crafts. Participants can engage in activities such as "Craft a Lavender" Workshop or educational experiences like "Stamp of Glory," "Art Speaks Saudi," and "RoboCamel Adventure." These workshops aim to inspire creativity and learning among attendees.
Future-Focused Celebrations
The "Saudi Time Capsule" offers an imaginative experience where visitors can send messages and images that they will receive in 2030. This activity encourages participants to envision their dreams for the future while reflecting on their current aspirations.
Ithra’s celebrations aim to strengthen national cohesion by showcasing Saudi Arabia's authentic identity through diverse cultural expressions. The events are designed to be inclusive, allowing people from all walks of life to participate in this grand celebration.
