ITC Introduces Shary Digital Service To Streamline Vehicle Buying And Selling In Abu Dhabi
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi has introduced a new digital service called "Shary" at GITEX Global 2025. This service allows people to buy and sell vehicles securely online without handling cash or visiting service centres. It uses an escrow system to ensure safe transactions.
"Shary" was developed with the "TAMM" platform and other strategic partners. It aims to build trust in the used-vehicle market by protecting both buyers' and sellers' rights through a secure electronic process. The service holds the vehicle's value in an escrow account until ownership is transferred, ensuring smooth transactions.

Users of "Shary" can track their transaction requests via "TAMM". They receive instant updates through SMS and email, providing full transparency on fees and terms. The service also offers faster fund transfers using the national banking network, enhancing the overall user experience.
Dr Abdulla Hamad AlGhfeli, Acting Director-General of ITC, stated, "The launch of ‘Shary’ is an important step forward in digitising Abu Dhabi’s transport and vehicle services. It reflects our commitment to smart solutions that enhance government service efficiency and make life easier for customers."
This initiative supports Abu Dhabi's goal of advancing digital transformation and smart services. It aims to save time and effort while providing safer customer experiences. The service contributes to creating a fully integrated digital ecosystem that promotes sustainable economic growth.
By fostering public-private collaboration, "Shary" helps establish a secure digital environment. This strengthens Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness as a leader in innovative services that improve quality of life and support sustainable development.
The introduction of "Shary" aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a leading smart city. It enhances government services by making them more efficient and accessible, ultimately supporting the emirate's sustainable development goals.
