Istituto Marangoni To Establish First International Fashion Institute In Riyadh With Saudi Fashion Commission

In a significant development for the fashion and luxury sectors in Saudi Arabia, Istituto Marangoni has announced a strategic partnership with the Saudi Fashion Commission, under the Ministry of Culture. This collaboration marks a milestone, as Istituto Marangoni will become the first international Higher Education Group specializing in creative fields such as fashion and luxury to establish a presence in Riyadh. The announcement was made during a press conference in Riyadh, attended by Stefania Valenti, Global Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni, Burak Cakmak, Chief Executive Officer of the Fashion Commission, and Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez, Vice Minister of Culture.

This partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aiming to transform the country into a dynamic market for young, digital-savvy consumers and creatives. The initiative is set to catalyze local talent development, women's empowerment, and employment opportunities in the rapidly evolving fashion and luxury landscape of Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh campus of Istituto Marangoni, accredited by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), is slated to open its doors in 2025. It promises an innovative academic program focusing on fashion, business, and luxury management.

Fashion Institute Launches in Riyadh

The main academic offering will be a three-year Advanced Diploma covering core areas such as Fashion Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Products, Fashion Styling & Creative Direction, and the management of Fragrances & Cosmetics and Interior Design. Students will have the flexibility to complete their Advanced Diploma in Riyadh with a six-month internship or pursue a Bachelor's Degree at any international Istituto Marangoni campus. Additionally, courses designed for both aspiring and established professionals will be available, aiming to enhance skills in fashion business, digital marketing, product management, and emerging technologies.

Stefania Valenti expressed gratitude for this collaborative opportunity with the Fashion Commission and highlighted Istituto Marangoni's commitment to nurturing talented individuals who will contribute significantly to both local and international markets. She also emphasized the institute's innovative approach by incorporating AI and Metaverse technologies into its academic offerings. Burak Cakmak underscored the transformative impact this institution will have on nurturing local talent within Saudi Arabia's burgeoning creative landscape.

The success of previous distance-learning courses like Digital Fashion and CLO3D offered in partnership with the Fashion Commission underscores the market's readiness for advanced educational opportunities in fashion and luxury. This partnership between Istituto Marangoni and the Saudi Fashion Commission represents a forward-thinking approach to education in Saudi Arabia, preparing students to meet the future challenges and opportunities within the global fashion and luxury industries.
