ISNR 2024 Conference Wraps Up In Abu Dhabi With Key Focus On Security Innovations
The ISNR 2024 conference, organised by the Ministry of Interior and Rabdan Academy in partnership with ADNEC Group, concluded today after two days of in-depth discussions on security, policing, and crisis management. The event gathered leading decision-makers and experts to offer insights on essential security topics.
The conference also marked the launch of the Rabdan Security & Defence Institute, a new Abu Dhabi-based research platform dedicated to strategic foresight and specialised planning. This institute aims to assess future trends for the benefit of decision-makers.

Under the theme "Policing and Crisis Management in the Era of Innovation," the first day featured discussions on strategic alliances in global stability, national security trends, and evidence-based policing. Jaime Jorge Fainstein Day Gastrell from INTERPOL discussed AI-related crimes, while Professor Jerry Ratcliffe from Temple University outlined new trends in evidence-based policing.
A panel on "The Role of Knowledge Communities in Addressing the Challenges and Prospects for the Middle East" explored how knowledge communities could improve quality of life and advance societies. Dr. Obaid Al Ketbi led the first session of the circle of resilience initiative, focusing on Emirati youth's role in scientific advances and national security.
Day Two: Artificial Intelligence and Security Technology
The second day focused on "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Security Technology." Major General Dr. Ahmed Al Raisi opened with a keynote speech emphasising the development of reliable technological tools for national security. He highlighted the need for international cooperation on cross-border crime.
Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cyber Security Council, praised the UAE’s advanced cybersecurity strategies. Kush Wadhwa, CEO of Trilateral Research, discussed ethics in governmental AI policies. A case study presentation showcased innovative solutions in cybersecurity and their impact on regional and global stability.
Closing Session: Youth Leadership in National Security
The conference concluded with a session titled "Navigating the Nexus: Youth Leadership in National Security Through AI and Technology," led by Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed. This session focused on empowering young individuals in AI, security technology, and national resilience.
