Ministries Of Islamic Affairs And Tajikistan Unite To Promote Understanding Of Islam
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, signed a memorandum of understanding in Jeddah with the Tajikistan Committee on Religion, Regulation of Traditions and Ceremonies. Chairman Sulaymon Davlatzoda represented the Tajik side during the signing.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in promoting the understanding of Islam. It focuses on highlighting its virtues and tolerance while addressing contemporary issues. This will be achieved through the exchange of research and scientific books in various languages.

Joint scientific seminars will be organized to train workers in Islamic affairs. Invitations for these events will be exchanged, and joint exhibitions will introduce Islam to a broader audience. Scholars and specialists from both countries will participate in conferences and seminars.
The agreement includes cooperation in constructing and maintaining mosques. It also covers training and qualifying mosque staff. Recommendations from joint events will be implemented to improve these efforts.
Additionally, there will be collaboration in serving the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. Expertise and information related to printing the Holy Quran and translating its meanings will be shared between both parties.
Quran Memorization Competitions
The ministry will provide copies of publications from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran to the committee. Invitations to participate in Quran memorization competitions will also be exchanged.
Regulations, guidelines, and criteria for these competitions will be shared. Expertise and information about Quran manuscripts and Islamic heritage will also be exchanged.
This memorandum signifies a step towards strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan in promoting Islamic values and education.
