Global Islamic Leaders Gather To Promote Moderation At The 9th Awqaf Conference

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance is hosting the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Makkah. The event, scheduled for Sunday, will gather Islamic figures from over 60 countries. The conference aims to enhance Islamic solidarity and promote a correct understanding of Islam based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, highlighted the ministry's efforts to foster communication with similar ministries worldwide. These efforts aim to advance Islamic work, strengthen cooperation foundations, promote moderation, and combat terrorism. His remarks were made during a press conference held on Saturday.

The conference will address various issues impacting the life of the Islamic nation. Topics include the cause of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine, matters related to Islamic Dawah, and mosque care. Additionally, it will cover the exchange of experiences in appointing imams and preachers and discuss their programs and responsibilities.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance under the theme "The Role of the Ministries of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Promoting the Principles of Moderation and Consolidating the Values of Moderation."
