IsDB Group To Celebrate 50 Years Of Progress At 2024 Annual Meetings
The Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) is gearing up to host its 2024 Annual Meetings and Golden Jubilee in Riyadh, under the esteemed patronage of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. Scheduled from April 27-30, this significant event will unfold under the theme "Cherishing our Past, Charting our Future: Originality, Solidarity, and Prosperity". Representing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud will grace the occasion, marking a half-century of the IsDB's commitment to sustainable socio-economic growth across its member nations and Muslim communities in non-member countries.
At the heart of these meetings is a focus on enhancing cooperation among member nations to foster sustainable, comprehensive development and economic diversification resilient against crises. Saudi Minister of Finance and Chairman of IsDB Group's Board of Governors, Mohammed Aljadaan, highlighted the significance of these gatherings as pivotal platforms for dialogue and collaboration. Aljadaan also emphasized Saudi Arabia's prominent role on the global stage in hosting key international forums and its ongoing support for development initiatives through the IsDB Group.

Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the IsDB Group, lauded the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the IsDB Group. He pointed out that the Kingdom's expertise and resources have greatly contributed to sustainable growth in various member countries. The timing of this year's meetings is particularly crucial, according to Al Jasser, as they coincide with global challenges like climate change and economic uncertainties leading to rising inflation rates.
The agenda for the IsDB Group's annual meetings includes a Governors’ Plenary Session and a Roundtable Meeting, focusing on addressing the Islamic nations' most pressing economic challenges and exploring future opportunities. Accompanying these discussions will be a series of seminars, sessions, and events featuring experts from government bodies, international and regional organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society.
