IOC Recognises Dunya Abu Talib With Historic Equality, Diversity, And Inclusion Award For Saudi Women In Sports

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has honoured Saudi Taekwondo athlete Dunya Abu Talib with the 2024 Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award for Asia. This marks a historic first for Saudi sports. Abu Talib's recognition follows her achievements as the first Saudi woman to qualify for the Olympic Games and win a gold medal at the Asian Games.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, president of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), expressed pride in this achievement.
