International Video Art Forum Welcomes 67 Artistic Submissions From 27 Countries For December Event
The International Video Art Forum's Organizing Committee has announced the receipt of 67 artworks from 27 countries for its sixth edition. Registration remains open until November 5, with the event set for December. The forum is organized by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam, in collaboration with the Cinema Association.
Yousif Al-Harbi, the General Supervisor and Director of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam, explained that this year's theme, "Imagination Embodied, Reality Transformed," highlights how imaginative ideas can become tangible art. He stressed that these works have the potential to influence reality and illustrate art's ability to bridge imagination and reality.

The forum has attracted submissions from diverse countries such as Ethiopia, Australia, Argentina, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, the United States, Japan, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Peru, Slovenia, France, Palestine, Croatia, Canada, Lebanon, Egypt, and the Netherlands. This international participation underscores its significance as a global platform for artists.
In previous editions of the forum over five sessions have successfully showcased contemporary visual art experiences using advanced technologies. It has received more than 823 artworks from over 70 countries and hosted 31 specialized seminars and workshops. This makes it a pioneering international gathering for artists in the Gulf region.
The forum plans to offer more details about this session's activities soon. A workshop will be held at Khobar's Cinema Association headquarters. This initiative aims to foster a visual cultural movement that nurtures creative human capital by supporting talents and artists.
