The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission (LPTC) is preparing to host the fifth International Translation Forum (ITF) in Riyadh. Scheduled from November 6 to 8 at the King Fahd Cultural Center, this event will delve into the translation profession's current landscape, best practices, and challenges. The forum aims to enhance Saudi Arabia's role as a cultural hub and support the translation industry in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Participants can expect seven theoretical and interactive tracks at ITF. These include "Panel Discussions" featuring 15 discussions on modern translation issues. Over 75 experts from 22 countries will participate in five daily sessions. A special panel will celebrate the Saudi-China Cultural Year, titled "Cultural Transformations in Translation: an Insight into the Saudi–Chinese Experience."

Another significant track is "Workshops," offering 17 sessions to enhance translation skills and introduce new technical tools. Topics cover AI applications in translation, screenplay localization, children's literature, and securing research grants in translation studies. These workshops are accessible both in person and online for participants across the Kingdom and globally.
The forum also includes three engaging tracks: "AOT Research Discussion Sessions," highlighting scientific research supported by the Arab Observatory of Translation; "Technology Hub," providing hands-on experiences; and "Translation Tales," where experts share professional stories and insights from the translation world.
An exhibition will accompany ITF, featuring 30 organizations focused on translation from Saudi Arabia and abroad. This platform facilitates networking and expertise sharing among industry professionals and enthusiasts.
