International Scientific Conference On Disabilities To Take Place On October 1 In Sharjah
The International Scientific Conference on People with Disabilities and Adapted Physical Education is set to begin on 1st October. This event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The conference aims to enhance understanding and support for disability-related issues through scientific research.
The Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled expressed gratitude to His Highness for his steadfast support. Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the club, highlighted the importance of this conference in advancing the scientific discourse on disabilities. He noted that this initiative underscores a commitment to integrating people with disabilities into human development efforts in Sharjah.

Al Naqbi emphasised that true empowerment begins with knowledge. He stressed that clubs should not only focus on sports but also engage in research and partnerships. These efforts aim to launch impactful initiatives that improve the lives of people with disabilities, reflecting a holistic approach to empowerment.
Louai Saeed Allay, Vice Chairman of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, also serves as Chairman of the Conference Executive Committee. He stated that His Highness’s patronage signifies years of accumulated institutional experience. This year’s conference builds on past successes by enhancing organisational planning and scientific engagement.
