International Education Show 2023 Attracts Over 30,000 Visitors And Highlights Diverse Academic Opportunities

The International Education Show at Expo Centre Sharjah ended successfully, drawing over 30,000 visitors, including students and parents. This four-day event was organised by Expo Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It featured more than 100 universities and academic institutions from over 16 countries.

The exhibition, held in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority and India's Ministry of Education, provided a platform to explore various educational opportunities. Institutions from countries like the UK, Spain, Germany, Hungary, the US, Georgia, Malaysia, and India participated. They presented a wide range of academic programmes designed to equip young people with skills needed in today's competitive job market.

International Education Show Draws Over 30,000 Visitors

This year's event saw significant involvement from top UAE national universities. These institutions showcased their latest academic offerings aligned with the country's vision for a knowledge-based economy. The pavilions attracted many visitors interested in advanced learning opportunities. Participating universities included the Higher Colleges of Technology, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Khalifa University, Zayed University, IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi, American University of Sharjah (AUS), American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), and University of Sharjah.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, stated that the show reflects Sharjah's commitment to innovation through quality education investment. "By fostering knowledge-driven talent capable of addressing shifting market demands," he said, "the exhibition supports long-term economic sustainability and industrial development." He added that its success acts as an economic catalyst shaping a skilled generation ready for future growth.

The event also included workshops and seminars led by experts to help participants make informed academic and career choices. These sessions focused on university admissions, scholarships, and emerging workforce competencies. They aimed to highlight future skills necessary to meet labour market demands.
