Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Support For Lebanon’s Sovereignty At International Conference In Paris
Eng. Waleed ElKhereiji, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, represented Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah at the International Conference in Support of Lebanon’s People and Sovereignty in Paris. He emphasised the need for a united effort to help Lebanon overcome its current crisis and lessen humanitarian impacts. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting international efforts to bolster Lebanon's stability and sovereignty.
Eng. ElKhereiji stated that under the guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia stands with Lebanon during these difficult times. The Kingdom is fully dedicated to backing all initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire and fostering sustainable diplomatic solutions for peace in Lebanon, ensuring its stability and sovereignty.

The Vice Minister stressed the importance of strengthening Lebanon’s state institutions so they can fulfill their constitutional responsibilities across all Lebanese territories. He remarked, "Permanent stability can only be achieved by building a strong state capable of asserting its sovereignty and performing its legitimate role in serving the Lebanese people."
He highlighted the crucial role of the Lebanese army in maintaining security and stability, noting it as essential for enabling Lebanon to secure a peaceful future free from conflict. Eng. ElKhereiji underscored adherence to international resolutions safeguarding Lebanon’s independence and implementing the Taif Agreement as vital for national unity.
Saudi Arabia's commitment to aiding Lebanon includes providing urgent humanitarian assistance through an air bridge delivering medical, relief, and shelter supplies. This initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people by addressing their immediate needs during these critical times.
The conference was attended by Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to France Fahd Alruwaily and Ambassador to Lebanon Waleed Bukhari. Their presence further signifies Saudi Arabia's dedication to supporting Lebanon through diplomatic channels and direct aid efforts.
