Abu Dhabi to Host Key International Autism Conference This April

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has recently announced a significant collaboration with Lotus Holistic Group, aimed at enhancing the understanding and support mechanisms for individuals with autism. This partnership will culminate in the International Autism Conference: Challenges and Solutions, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from April 27th to April 30th of the current year. This event marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to address the needs of people with autism, providing a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices.

Under this agreement, ZHO will play a crucial role in sponsoring and executing the conference. Their responsibilities include proposing topics for scientific workshops, suggesting researchers and participants, and coordinating the media and marketing campaign for the event. Furthermore, ZHO will support the launch of the first specialised peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to discussing issues related to people of determination, with a particular focus on autism.

Lotus Holistic Group, under the leadership of CEO Ameena Al Heydan, will manage and organise the conference's activities. This includes recruiting experts, approving academic research and working papers, as well as providing all necessary logistical and media services. The group is also tasked with preparing and publishing the specialised journal, ensuring it meets scientific and academic standards.

Abdullah Al Hameidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, expressed optimism about the partnership with Lotus Holistic Group. He highlighted the success of last year's conference in demystifying autism and offering valuable insights into best practices for supporting individuals with this condition. Al Hameidan also noted that publishing a specialised journal on autism research aligns with ZHO's strategic plan under its early intervention and healthcare improvement axis.

Ameena Al Heydan shared her hopes for the upcoming conference to meet its objectives and contribute significantly to the integration of individuals with autism into society.
