Interior Ministry Intensifies Services For Worshippers And Visitors At The Grand Mosque

The Interior Ministry's security, service, and humanitarian sectors are ramping up efforts to assist worshipers and visitors at the Grand Mosque. At airports, services are designed to manage traveler flow efficiently, ensuring smooth entry through a comprehensive system that underscores the Kingdom's dedication to supporting worshipers.

Both the General Directorate of Passports and the General Directorate of Border Guards are enhancing their readiness at land and sea ports. They are strengthening field teams with skilled personnel to manage increased traffic and streamline entry procedures for worshipers. This is done while maintaining top safety and security standards along the borders.

Enhanced Services at the Grand Mosque

The Special Forces for Road Security focus on facilitating vehicle and bus movement on highways leading to Makkah. Security checkpoints ensure all arrivals' safety. Meanwhile, the Saudi Traffic Department intensifies efforts in central areas to manage traffic around the Grand Mosque, easing pedestrian access.

The Security Training Institute plays a crucial role in managing crowds within outer courtyards. The Diplomatic Security Special Forces contribute significantly during the third Saudi expansion by directing crowds and organizing entry and exit through main corridors and entrances. This improves both security and flow within the Grand Mosque, enhancing comfort for Umrah performers.

Hajj and Umrah Special Forces offer humanitarian, security, and organizational services to worshipers. They guide visitors and assist elderly individuals or those with disabilities in performing their rituals smoothly. Civil Defense teams are strategically placed within the Grand Mosque to respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid when needed.

Ensuring Safety Standards

These Civil Defense teams ensure compliance with safety standards to prevent accidents. Their strategic positioning allows them to address emergencies effectively, contributing significantly to the overall safety of worshipers at the Grand Mosque.

Through these coordinated efforts across various sectors, the Interior Ministry aims to provide a seamless experience for all visitors. The focus remains on ensuring safety while facilitating ease of movement for everyone involved in religious activities at this sacred site.
