Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz Visits INTERPOL To Strengthen International Security Cooperation
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, visited INTERPOL in Lyon, France. He was welcomed by INTERPOL President Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi. The visit underscored Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for INTERPOL and its mission to bolster international cooperation against transnational crime.
The minister highlighted that his visit aligns with the Kingdom’s leadership directives to enhance global security collaboration. He commended INTERPOL's efforts in supporting worldwide security initiatives and fostering cooperation among global security agencies, which contribute to peace and stability internationally.

During discussions, both parties focused on improving partnerships and coordination between the Saudi Ministry of Interior and INTERPOL. They explored ways to exchange expertise, particularly in combating transnational crime and addressing new security challenges. Joint initiatives in training and capacity development were also considered.
Major General Al-Raisi expressed gratitude for Prince Abdulaziz's commitment to strengthening ties with INTERPOL. He praised Saudi Arabia's innovative initiatives that have enhanced crime-fighting tools and improved regional and international security measures.
The minister received a briefing on INTERPOL’s key programs and initiatives. He toured the Security Operations Center, where he admired the advanced technical capabilities and human resources available there. This visit highlighted the importance of technological advancements in maintaining global security.
Accompanying Prince Abdulaziz were Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Faleh, Saudi Ambassador to France Fahd Al-Ruwaili, and other senior Saudi security officials. Their presence emphasized the significance of this visit in reinforcing Saudi Arabia's commitment to international security cooperation.
