Minister Reviews Hajj Transport Operations in Makkah

The General Transport Center plays a crucial role in managing Makkah's transport system during Hajj. It coordinates with over ten government agencies to ensure seamless integration within the Hajj system. The center employs various operational modes such as shuttle transport and single and double shuttles to facilitate pilgrim movement.

During his visit, Prince Abdulaziz reviewed an interactive map detailing pilgrim service routes between Mina and the Grand Mosque during Tashreeq days. This map helps regulate shuttle transport and determine closure times for each route, ensuring efficient pilgrim movement.

The center's use of advanced tools like real-time data analysis is pivotal in maintaining smooth operations. These tools allow for effective crowd management and bus direction adjustments, enhancing the overall efficiency of the transport system during Hajj.

Several officials were present during Prince Abdulaziz's visit to the General Transport Center. Their presence underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in managing transportation logistics for one of the largest religious gatherings globally.

The Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites oversees these operations through its CEO Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed. The commission ensures that all aspects of transportation are well-coordinated to meet the needs of pilgrims efficiently.

This visit highlights ongoing efforts to improve transportation services for pilgrims, ensuring their safety and convenience during their spiritual journey in Makkah.
