Prince Turki Bin Saud Palace Showcases Courage And Patience Through Interactive Experiences

Stories from the First Saudi State are brought to life at Prince Turki bin Saud Palace, where visitors to Diriyah Season 25/26 experience historic scenes through the Hal Al-Qusoor Program and explore how this landmark combines heritage, daily life, and leadership memories in At-Turaif District.

The season forms part of the wider plans of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, which aims to highlight Diriyah as the birthplace of the Saudi State and a centre for cultural activity, supporting national cultural and tourism goals linked to Saudi Vision 2030 and long-term sustainable development.

Prince Turki Palace Shows Courage and Interaction

Hal Al-Qusoor is listed among the major Diriyah Season 25/26 programs, drawing guests to the palace to learn how the First Saudi State shaped politics, society, and culture, while also giving a sense of how decisions taken in Diriyah influenced regional stability and the resilience of the early state.

Events inside the palace use sound, light, and interactive features to recreate scenes of bravery and hardship, allowing visitors to imagine discussions between leaders, sense the tension of strategic meetings, and follow stories that show how Diriyah endured pressure while keeping its social values and sense of community intact.

Prince Turki bin Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Saud was born in At-Turaif in the late 12th century AH and grew up in an environment known for courage and horsemanship, under the guidance of Imam Saud bin Abdulaziz, who led the armies of the First Saudi State and shaped the military character of the era.

The palace that now carries Prince Turki bin Saud’s name lies in the southern sector of At-Turaif District and was built in the early 13th century AH using traditional Najdi construction methods, with mud bricks, stone, and tamarisk wood forming a two-storey layout centred around an open courtyard.

The building features broad gates and several exits that reflect security needs and social customs of that period, while its rooms and corridors include private living spaces, formal reception halls, and service sections, each containing architectural details that point to stories of leadership, bravery, and determination during the First Saudi State.

The heritage design of Prince Turki bin Saud Palace helps visitors picture daily life in At-Turaif, as they move between resting areas, discussion halls, and open spaces, and the re-created atmosphere encourages guests to link the physical structure with the historic role of Diriyah as a centre of rule, decision-making, and cultural identity.

Diriyah Season 25/26, through Hal Al-Qusoor and other cultural programs, continues to support the vision of Diriyah as a lasting meeting point for heritage and modern life, presenting the story of the First Saudi State in accessible ways while strengthening awareness of national history and its place within current cultural and tourism plans.
