World Energy Congress 2026 In Riyadh To Focus On Inspiring Transformations And Delivering Transitions

The World Energy Council has revealed that Saudi Arabia will host the 27th World Energy Congress in Riyadh from 26-29 October 2026. The event, under the theme 'Inspiring Transformations, Delivering Transitions,' aims to merge aspiration with practical opportunities in the energy sector. This theme builds on the previous congress's focus and seeks to connect visionary ideas with actionable steps for a sustainable energy future.

Saudi Arabia's selection as host underscores its significant role in the global energy landscape and its commitment to energy transitions. The Kingdom is recognised for its leadership in promoting sustainability and innovative clean energy solutions. Initiatives like the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative highlight these efforts.

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, stated: "The Kingdom's hosting the 2026 World Energy Congress comes at a pivotal moment for the global energy sector, given the transformations and developments the world is witnessing in this socially and economically vital sector." He emphasised that the congress has long been a platform for driving energy shifts by uniting stakeholders worldwide.
