Innovation In Accounting Forum For Students: GCA President Attends Closing Ceremony 2025

President of the General Court of Audit Dr. Hussam Alangari attended the closing ceremony of the second Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students, held at the General Court of Audit. The event, organised by the Saudi Center for Financial and Performance Auditing, focused on developing national talent in accounting and auditing across Saudi Arabia.

The Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students is one of the main programmes under the National Talent Support Initiative led by the Saudi Center for Financial and Performance Auditing. The forum aims to equip a new generation of accounting students who can offer high-quality innovation and link university study with real professional requirements.

The second edition of the Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students included two core tracks, Knowledge Development and Innovative Challenges, supported by six specialised branches: Studies, Solutions, Data, Empowerment, Simulation, and Career Development. Around 1,600 male and female accounting students from 30 universities and educational institutions across Saudi Arabia took part in the programme.

Over the course of the Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students, participants joined more than 45 practical and interactive activities. These included workshops and knowledge sessions led by local and international specialists in accounting, technology, artificial intelligence, and labour-market skills, designed to support applied learning and introduce students to current professional practices.

In the Studies Track, 30 teams proposed strategic legislative and policy options for issues facing the accounting profession.

The Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students also highlighted data-focused work. In the Data Track, eight teams built solutions centred on managing and analysing accounting data and developing predictive models. These teams used modern technologies and artificial intelligence tools to improve how financial information could be interpreted and applied in oversight and decision-making.

During the Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students closing event, Vice President of Institutional Services at the General Court of Audit and Director General of the Saudi Center for Financial and Performance Auditing Tariq Aljurayfani underlined the forum’s strategic purpose. Aljurayfani said the forum celebrated scientific excellence and aimed to invest in young national talent and energy.

Aljurayfani explained that the Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students supports promising leaders and builds competencies for the future of the accounting profession in Saudi Arabia. This takes place through national centres and laboratories, educational portfolios for winners with leading Saudi and international universities, and learning opportunities on major digital platforms and with large international consulting firms.

The design of the Innovation in Accounting Forum (IAF 2025) for Students connects participants with selected experts, speakers, and representatives from major local and international accounting and auditing companies.
