Industry Minister Bandar Alkhorayef Secures Key Agreements At Shanghai Fair For Aviation Industry Localization

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef recently visited the Saudi pavilion at the Hannover Messe during the China International Industry Fair in Shanghai. The visit aimed to highlight Saudi Arabia's investment environment, focusing on opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors. Cultural presentations showcased Saudi heritage, enhancing the pavilion's appeal.

During his visit, Alkhorayef explored various international pavilions, gaining insights into cutting-edge industrial solutions. These included advancements in robotics, industrial software, and automation technologies. His tour was part of a broader effort to understand global innovations that could benefit Saudi industries.

Agreements Secured for Aviation Industry Localization

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Minister Alkhorayef engaged with leaders from Virtual Mind Holding (VMH), a prominent player in robotics and AI systems. Discussions focused on strengthening industrial cooperation and exploring opportunities for technology transfer to Saudi Arabia. This collaboration aims to enhance expertise exchange between both parties.

Alkhorayef also witnessed the signing of three strategic agreements between the National Industrial Development Center and Chinese companies such as AVIC International, Lanshi Superalloy Company, and BMGK Company. These agreements aim to localize aviation industry technologies within Saudi Arabia, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The agreements were signed by Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, Chief Executive of the National Industrial Development Center. They represent a significant step towards achieving technological localization in line with national objectives. Such partnerships are crucial for advancing Saudi Arabia's industrial capabilities.

This visit is part of Minister Alkhorayef's official trip to China, which seeks to broaden strategic cooperation between both nations in industrial and mining sectors. The goal is to attract high-quality investments that will contribute to Saudi Arabia's economic growth and diversification efforts.
