Industry Minister Bandar Bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef Meets Greek Ministers To Enhance Cooperation In Mining And Industry

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef recently visited Greece to strengthen ties in industry and mining. He met with Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou and Minister of Development Dr. Takis Theodorikakos. They discussed expanding strategic partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Greece in these sectors.

Alkhorayef's discussions with the environment and energy minister focused on enhancing cooperation in mining. They explored investment opportunities for Greek companies in Saudi Arabia's mining sector. Additionally, they considered exchanging expertise and transferring advanced technologies for exploration, extraction, and mine management.

The meeting with the development minister aimed at boosting economic relations between the two nations. They examined joint investment prospects in maritime industries, infrastructure development, and specialized industrial clusters. These discussions are part of efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation in industry and mining.

During these meetings, Alkhorayef extended an invitation to both Greek ministers to attend the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh from January 13 to 15. This forum serves as a global platform for discussing the future of the mining sector and fostering international partnerships that support sustainable mineral supply chains.

The Saudi delegation included key figures such as Saudi Ambassador to Greece Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Yousef and Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, President of the National Industrial Development Center. Leaders from Saudi Arabia's industry and mining sectors also participated, underscoring the importance of these talks.

This visit is part of Alkhorayef’s broader initiative to enhance strategic cooperation with Greece in industry and mining. It aims to attract quality investments into Saudi Arabia, supporting its economic diversification goals.
