Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef recently completed a two-day visit to Kuwait. The visit focused on boosting economic ties, enhancing industrial cooperation, and attracting investments to Saudi Arabia. During this trip, he led the Saudi delegation at the 54th meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Minister Alkhorayef took part in a consultative meeting with trade and industry ministers and heads of federations from GCC countries. These discussions highlighted the need for unified efforts towards industrial integration within the Gulf region. They also aimed to facilitate intra-GCC trade, supporting sustainable economic development across member states.

The minister held separate bilateral meetings with Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel and Minister of Oil Tareq Sulaiman Al-Roumi. These discussions centred on mutual opportunities in industries such as petrochemical production. Both sides stressed expanding cooperation and industrial integration to support economic growth and diversification in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
In addition, Minister Alkhorayef met with Kuwaiti businessmen during an event organised by the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait. This meeting showcased investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia's industrial and mining sectors. The event was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled.
The minister's visit aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 goals, aiming to transform Saudi Arabia into a leading industrial power and global mining hub. By strengthening industrial cooperation and attracting investments, the Kingdom seeks to achieve these ambitious objectives.
