Industrialists Career Exhibition To Provide Over 900 Job Opportunities For Emiratis Across Multiple Sectors

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is set to host the third Industrialists Career Exhibition from 28th to 30th October. This event, held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, aims to create and match jobs in the industrial and advanced technology sectors. Building on previous successes, it has facilitated over 1,400 specialised roles for Emiratis, including 150 for People of Determination.

The last two exhibitions in Ras Al Khaimah resulted in more than 200 job placements. This brings the total to over 1,600 jobs within a year since the exhibition's inception last October. The initiative significantly boosts Emirati employment in the private sector. The upcoming edition will offer over 900 new positions across nine key sectors, with more than 100 roles for People of Determination.

For the first time, female national service recruits from the "Hama" programme will have access to job and training opportunities. This programme was launched by the Government Development and Future Office in partnership with the National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA). It aims to develop specialised skills in five critical sectors, including industry and advanced technology.

The Industrialists Career Exhibition represents a collaborative effort involving MoIAT, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and ADNOC Group under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme. This initiative is part of the UAE’s Projects of the 50. It is supported by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

His Highness has emphasised integrating highly qualified Emirati talent into the industrial sector to strengthen its role in the national economy. The exhibition seeks to unite government bodies, private companies, training institutions, and jobseekers. It provides job and training opportunities that align with factory needs and jobseekers’ skills.

Innovative Job Matching System

This edition will feature diverse job opportunities, including on-site, office-based, and hybrid roles. An innovative instant matching system via an app will be introduced for the first time. This app will use cutting-edge technology to match jobseekers’ qualifications with available vacancies efficiently.

Beyond securing jobs at previous exhibitions, MoIAT has collaborated with partners to launch specialised training programmes in vital sectors like oil and gas. Thousands of young Emiratis have attended these exhibitions to explore career opportunities.

To raise awareness among manufacturers and jobseekers, MoIAT organised workshops from 15th August to 15th September for manufacturers and from 15th September to 15th October for jobseekers. These workshops aimed to prepare participants for successful engagement at the exhibition.

The Industrialists Career Exhibition continues its mission of fostering employment opportunities while enhancing skills development among Emiratis. By bringing together various stakeholders, it plays a crucial role in advancing national talent within key industries across the UAE.
