Saudi Arabia's Industrial Transformation Exhibition Concludes

The ministry unveiled several strategic initiatives at the exhibition to boost industrial transformation. A key initiative involved a partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to enhance applied research and localise industrial innovation. Another initiative launched was the Innovative Industrial and Mining Products Program Platform.

Additionally, an initiative was introduced to help entrepreneurs enter the additive manufacturing market through specialised digital modelling programs. This aims to foster growth in this emerging sector by providing necessary resources and training opportunities for new entrants.

A significant highlight was the provision of industrial robots worth SAR4 million, distributed to universities and capability centres through the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center (AMPC). This initiative is part of a strategic partnership between AMPC and Virtual Mind Holding (VMH) from China, aiming to enhance training, research, development, and innovation.

The ministry also announced the formation of the Machinery and Equipment Association, a non-profit organisation designed to support industry growth. Several agreements were signed during the exhibition between public- and private-sector entities, both locally and internationally. These partnerships focus on advanced manufacturing, technology cooperation, supply chains, research, development, and industrial services.

Awards and Recognition

Recognition was given to companies excelling in technological advancements during the event. The Fourth Industrial Revolution Solutions Award was presented by AMPC. Additionally, 36 Saudi factories received the 2025 Quality Awards for meeting international ISO standards. Winners of the Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award (MIMA) in the Middle East were also acknowledged for their achievements in AI and digital transformation.

Conference Highlights

The accompanying conference featured over 16 panel sessions and workshops with more than 50 speakers from Saudi Arabia and abroad. Discussions covered global trends in smart manufacturing, talent development, and investment opportunities in emerging technologies. This comprehensive program aimed to provide insights into future industry directions.

The exhibition attracted over 266 companies specialising in advanced industries such as artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, smart supply chains, automation, and digitisation solutions. As an extension of Hannover Messe exhibitions globally, this event served as a crucial platform connecting factories with world-class providers of advanced manufacturing technologies.

This inaugural event marks a significant step towards accelerating Saudi Arabia's industrial transformation. It aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 by reinforcing its position as a leading regional and global industrial hub.
