Indonesian Islamic Figures Commend Saudi Arabia's Commitment To Promoting Moderation And Tolerance

Several Islamic leaders in Indonesia have praised the efforts of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. They acknowledged their work in promoting moderation and tolerance. These comments came during Sheikh Dr. Ahmad bin Ali Al-Hudhaify's visit to Indonesia. He is the imam and khatib of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.

The visit was part of a program by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. This initiative aims to enhance the role of imams from the Two Holy Mosques and spread messages of moderation to the global Islamic community. The program seeks to strengthen ties and convey important values.

Indonesian Leaders Praise Saudi Efforts for Tolerance

Sheikh Abdul Wahid Alawi, Vice President of the Indonesian Supreme Council for Islamic Dawah, expressed gratitude for this visit. He noted it as a continuation of Saudi Arabia's blessings since King Abdulaziz's era. He also lauded the Ministry's efforts in advocating for moderation, tolerance, coexistence, and rejecting extremism.

Dr. Helman Latif, a leader within the Muhammadiyah Association, echoed these sentiments. He commended King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for their global promotion of moderation and tolerance. Their leadership has been pivotal in fostering these values worldwide.

Doctor Amany Lubis, chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council for Women, Youth, and Families, also praised the visits by imams from the Two Holy Mosques to Indonesia. She expressed hope that more such visits will occur in the future, strengthening ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

The ongoing collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia highlights shared values within the Islamic community. These visits are seen as vital in reinforcing messages against radicalism while promoting peace and understanding across nations.
