Indonesian Ambassador Lutfi Rauf Visits UAE Floating Hospital Supporting Palestinians In Al Arish

The UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, which began its operations on 23rd February, offers medical services to Palestinians from Gaza as part of Operation "Chivalrous Knight 3." The facility is managed by an Emirati medical team and supported by Indonesian doctors. It has a capacity of 100 beds for patients and an additional 100 for their companions, ensuring comprehensive care.

Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt, Lutfi Rauf, recently visited the hospital. He was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mubarak, the hospital's director. During his visit, he explored various departments and learned about the services provided to those injured from Gaza. The ambassador met with both Indonesian and Emirati medical teams, commending their collaborative efforts.

Ambassador Rauf highlighted the strong ties between the UAE and Indonesia. He noted that both countries have set a unique example of cooperation in humanitarian work. The presence of medical teams from both nations at the hospital reflects their shared commitment to aiding Palestinians facing challenging conditions.

The ambassador praised the UAE's initiative in establishing this floating hospital. He acknowledged its role in offering full medical services around the clock to support Palestinians. The hospital is well-equipped with essential facilities such as an operating room, anaesthesia services, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, and auxiliary services like X-rays, a pharmacy, and a laboratory.
