Indian Businesses Top New Registrations At Dubai Chamber In H1 2024

Dubai Chamber of Commerce has reported that Indian investors led the influx of new non-Emirati companies in the first half of this year, with 7,860 new firms joining. This underscores Dubai’s strong appeal to Indian businesses and its growing international investment allure.

Pakistan followed India with 3,968 new companies registering in H1 2024. Egypt came third with 2,355 new firms. Syria ranked fourth with 1,358 new companies joining during the same period.

Indian Firms Lead Dubai Chamber Entries

The United Kingdom secured fifth place with 1,245 new companies. Bangladesh was sixth with 1,119 firms. Iraq and China followed, with 799 and 742 new companies respectively.

The trade and repairing services sector led in attracting new members, accounting for 41.5% of the total. Real estate, renting, and business services came second at 33.6%. The construction sector was third at 9.4%, while transport, storage, and communications ranked fourth at 8.4%. Social and personal services rounded out the top five at 6.6%.

Sudan ranked ninth with 683 new companies joining the chamber. Jordan completed the top ten list with 674 new firms in H1 2024.

Growth Rates Among Sectors

The construction sector saw the highest growth among the top five sectors, increasing by 23.5% compared to last year. Transport, storage, and communications grew by 13.6%. Real estate, renting, and business services experienced a year-over-year increase of 9.5%.

This data highlights Dubai’s ability to attract diverse international investments across various sectors.
