Seasonal Medical Center Launched At Prince Sultan Hospital For Umrah Performers

The Ministry of Defense's General Administration of Health Services recently unveiled a new seasonal medical center at Prince Sultan Hospital for the Armed Forces in Madinah. This significant development was announced in the presence of the hospital's director, Major General Doctor Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Baridi. The center is strategically located in the Western Square to provide essential therapeutic and emergency services to Umrah performers and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque.

The newly inaugurated facility is equipped with eight triage points and six primary healthcare clinics, with provisions to expand up to eight clinics to accommodate more patients. In addition, the center boasts 18 emergency and observation beds, enhancing its capacity to offer immediate care. To further extend its reach and capabilities, two mobile medical clinic vehicles are included, featuring six observation beds, five emergency beds, and a recovery bed.

New Medical Center for Umrah Visitors

Accommodating the diverse needs of its patients, the center also comprises 23 tents. These include a dedicated tent for emergency cases with nine beds, a specialized tent for treating sunstroke and heat stress with two beds, and a tent focused on therapeutic nutrition and health education. For those requiring minor treatments such as bandages, there are two tents equipped with two beds each. Additionally, the facility provides a pharmacy and a laboratory for comprehensive medical support. A religious enrichment tent is also part of the center, catering to the spiritual needs of visitors.

This initiative reflects the Ministry of Defense's commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque. By offering a range of medical services in a strategically important location, the seasonal medical center aims to provide accessible and efficient healthcare solutions during peak religious seasons.
