Seasonal Medical Center Launched At Prince Sultan Hospital For Umrah Performers
In a significant development aimed at enhancing healthcare services for Umrah performers and visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque, the General Administration of Health Services at the Ministry of Defense has officially opened the seasonal medical center of Prince Sultan Hospital for the Armed Forces in Madinah. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Major General Doctor Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Baridi, the director of the hospital in Madinah.
The newly inaugurated center is strategically located in the Western Square, making it easily accessible to those in need. It is equipped with eight triage points and six primary healthcare clinics, with provisions to expand up to eight clinics to accommodate more patients. This expansion underscores the center's commitment to providing comprehensive and prompt medical services.

Moreover, the facility boasts 18 emergency and observation beds, enhancing its capacity to manage a wide range of medical emergencies. In addition to these beds, two mobile medical clinic vehicles have been introduced, equipped with six observation beds, five emergency beds, and a recovery bed, further bolstering the center's emergency response capabilities.
The center also features 23 tents designed to cater to various medical needs. Among these, a tent dedicated to emergency cases contains nine beds, while another tent is specifically set up for treating sunstroke and heat stress with two beds. There is also a tent focused on therapeutic nutrition and health education, highlighting the center's holistic approach to healthcare. For minor treatments and first aid, two tents have been allocated with two beds each for bandages. Additionally, the facility includes a pharmacy and a laboratory to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate medical interventions.
A unique aspect of this medical center is the inclusion of a religious enrichment tent, which aligns with the spiritual atmosphere of Madinah and caters to the emotional and spiritual well-being of the visitors.
This comprehensive setup not only underscores the Ministry of Defense’s dedication to ensuring the health and safety of Umrah performers and visitors but also reflects a well-thought-out strategy to address a wide spectrum of medical needs efficiently. With its strategic location, advanced facilities, and a wide range of services, the seasonal medical center at Prince Sultan Hospital for the Armed Forces stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing exemplary healthcare services to its residents and visitors alike.
