Saudi Arabia Gears Up For Inaugural Umrah And Ziyarah Forum In Madinah

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is gearing up for the debut of the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum, a significant event set to take place in Madinah. Starting on Monday, April 22, and spanning three days, this forum, under the patronage of Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region, will be hosted at the King Salman International Convention Center. This initiative is a stride towards enriching the spiritual and cultural experiences of Umrah performers and visitors from both within and outside Saudi Arabia.

Aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the forum aims to facilitate an increased number of pilgrims visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, ensuring they have an unparalleled Umrah and visitation experience. The event is a collaborative effort with the Pilgrim Experience Program, a cornerstone project under Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing the pilgrimage journey.

Government officials, private sector stakeholders including travel agencies, pilgrimage and tourism companies, as well as innovators in insurance, healthcare, transportation, and technology sectors are expected to participate. The forum will explore new opportunities in the Umrah and visit sector to improve services for pilgrims. It will also focus on elevating the quality of projects, services, and products to meet increasing demand and contribute to transforming the Pilgrim Experience Program.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences during general sessions and workshops. Additionally, companies participating in the exhibition will present their innovative services and products aimed at enhancing the pilgrim's journey. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah plans to announce new opportunities and innovative work areas during the forum. Several partnerships and agreements are also expected to be signed to further improve services for visitors to Makkah, Madinah, and other significant Islamic sites.

This forum represents a pivotal moment in achieving Saudi Vision 2030's goals by leveraging all available capabilities to serve pilgrims better. It underscores the Kingdom's dedication to providing a memorable spiritual journey for all visitors.
