UAE Celebrates Graduation Of First Cohort From Executive Diploma In Sustainability Programme

The first cohort of the Executive Diploma in Sustainability Programme graduated today in Dubai. This programme is a collaborative effort by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, DIFC Academy, American University in Cairo, and University Leadership Council. It aims to enhance skills and support the UAE's sustainability and climate goals across various sectors.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, attended the ceremony celebrating participants from diverse backgrounds. Graduates included government employees, private sector managers, entrepreneurs, and recent graduates. They work in fields vital to achieving the UAE's climate strategies and priorities.

First Cohort Graduates from UAE Sustainability Programme

The American University in Cairo offers this diploma covering four main models. Topics include sustainability and water, global food and energy nexus, energy resource management, green economy, green entrepreneurship, and circular economy. These areas are crucial for understanding sustainable practices.

Participants also explored wastewater treatment and desalination techniques. The programme highlighted modern technologies in agriculture and aquaculture through interactive field visits. These experiences provided practical insights into real-world applications of sustainability concepts.

After receiving accreditation for its Executive Diploma in Sustainability programme in the UAE, the American University in Cairo tailored its curriculum to align with national strategic objectives.
