Saudi Foreign Minister Chairs Conference On Two-State Solution With French President's Support
At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, a significant conference took place, focusing on the peaceful resolution of the Palestine issue. This event was chaired by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, representing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and in collaboration with French President Emmanuel Macron. The conference aimed to address the two-state solution for peace.
Prince Faisal conveyed greetings from King Salman and the Crown Prince, expressing hopes for the conference's success. He acknowledged President Macron, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and the President of the General Assembly for their roles in facilitating this crucial meeting. The gathering is seen as a vital opportunity to reaffirm global commitment to peace.

The foreign minister highlighted ongoing aggressive actions by Israeli authorities, including crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem. These actions threaten regional stability and undermine peace efforts. He emphasized that a two-state solution is essential for achieving lasting peace.
Prince Faisal praised President Macron's historic recognition of Palestine and commended other countries' courageous positions. He noted broad international support for the UN General Assembly's New York Declaration on Palestine, endorsed by 142 member states. This reflects a global commitment to Palestinian rights under international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The foreign minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's dedication to working with France and other nations supporting peace. The goal is to implement conference outcomes, end conflict in Gaza, halt unilateral measures threatening Palestinian sovereignty, and establish an independent Palestinian state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He urged more countries to recognize Palestine, stating that such recognition would bolster efforts for enduring peace in the Middle East. The session saw attendance from notable Saudi figures including Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Minister of State Adel Al-Jubeir.
Other attendees included Minister of Economy Faisal Alibrahim, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi from Foreign Affairs, Advisor Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan, Saudi UN Representative Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Alwasil, and Dr. Manal Radwan from Foreign Affairs.
